Diagnostic Hysteroscopy

Diagnostic hysteroscopy is a gynecological exam that aims at the internal visualization of the uterus to assist the doctor in the diagnosis of possible wounds, adhesions, polyps, tumors and other abnormalities. A slightly more invasive exam, sometimes requires sedation, also offers a great opportunity to get to know the inside of the uterine cavity. Usually done in conjunction with laparoscopy to visually examine the inside of the uterine cavity.

Therefore, the examination must be performed in the first half of menstruation, as it is when the uterus is not yet preparing to receive a possible pregnancy, facilitating the observation of lesions.
